The director of Central European Institute of Technology CEITEC MU is announcing a selection procedure for the following positions on the topic: ROS-auxin crosstalk during plant stress adaptation and development.
We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented PhD student who is interested to work in a new Interdisciplinary Young Research Group.
Profile
What we offer
Starting date is October 2012. Please send your letter of motivation and CV by e-mail to Dr. Vanesa Tognetti to vanesa.tognetti(at)ceitec.muni.cz. Electronic applications are expected by 31/08/2012.
Modulation of plant development and photosynthesis in response to the environment plays a major role in adaptation of plants to stress. Basically, these two processes are strongly influenced by reciprocal interaction between ROS and auxin. Knowledge on how photosynthetic stress-related signals and plant development are integrated by ROS-auxin crosstalk is still scratching the surface. To dissect ROS-auxin crosstalk gene regulatory networks that allow plants to adapt and survive in the highly dynamic natural environments, various interdisciplinary approaches including molecular biology, plant physiology, biochemistry, bioinformatic and genetics will be used.
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Post-Doctoral researcher who is interested to work in a challenging interdisciplinary research project in a new Young Research Group. Suitable candidates should be dedicated to experimental science; have molecular biology, stress plant physiology, functional genomics, biochemistry or related background(s), and good command of English.
What we offer
Starting date is October 2012. Please send a letter of motivation and your CV including the list of publications and recommendations of two research scientists by e-mail to Dr. Vanesa Tognetti to vanesa.tognetti(at)ceitec.muni.cz. Electronic applications are expected by 31/08/2012.
We are looking forward to hear from you!
