Present situation of the market of personalized medicine has reached just a tip of the iceberg. There are obstacles to overcome all around the world, such as specific environments, different investment systems, popular one-size-fits-all treatment model, and above all - mutual assistance. As indicated by Frost&Sullivan, a renowned business and consulting company, the key for successful adoption of personalized medicine inventions together with development of respective companies in the market is cooperation.
Partnerships, collaborations, and mutual goals are just some of the topics that will be discussed during BioForum 2012 - Central European biotech trade fairs (23-24th May, Brno, Czech Republic) by BioForum keynote speaker Jens Dhein, Ph.D., Scientific Director, Abbott. There will be a presentation and public talk entitled "Best Practices in Companion Diagnostics Collaborations". This talk will address partnering from discovery to commercialization, managing expectations, and achieving a true partnership, and present learnings from a 2011 U.S. IVD launch.
