Naše společnost vyhlašuje v souladu se zákonem č. 283/1992 Sb. o Akademii věd České republiky, ve znění zákona č. 420/2005 Sb. a Stanov AV ČR výběrové řízení na pozici a professional researcher (postdoc category) with expertise in agroecology specializing in the production of energy crops.

Job description:

The main scope of employment will be research and publication activities in the newly built Global Change Research Centre, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, p.r.i., in order to conduct and evaluate field experiments of crops grown to acquire bioenergy in the context of climate variability and climate change.

Required qualifications:
1. Duly completed doctoral studies at university in the CR (Ph.D.) or a comparable degree achieved at a foreign university, with a focus related to any of the following fields: agroecology, agronomy, forestry, or ecology.
2. Provable experience in research in the area of the global change impacts on local and regional level, particularly in the field of quantitative (statistical) methods.
3. The ability of independent scientific work, including publication in journals with IF.
4. Active knowledge of English language documented in publications in English.
5. Capability of working with computer technology at a level usual for the position of a researcher.
6. At least one letter of reference from a renowned expert (Professor / Associate Professor) from a significant institution dealing with energy crops cultivation.

Welcomed expertise and capabilities:
1. Capability of working with statistical software.
2. General overview and orientation in the issue of global climate change impacts on agriculture and forestry.
3. Experience with preparation and implementation of international projects.
4. Experience of cooperation with foreign institutions or international organizations.
5. Previous publications.
6. Knowledge of (at least partial) Czech or Slovak language.
