\"Archives of Animal Breeding\" is an internationally recognised specialist journal with scientific and first publications on pure and applied breeding and tangential areas. Presenting methods and results to the fundamentals of biological farm animals and animal breeding aspects as well as touching areas of horse, cattle, pig, sheep, goat, poultry and other small agricultural use animals. Also publishes articles using animal models and theoretical models besides genetic and biometry, molecular biology, reproductive biology, physiological principles in animal behaviour, muscle biology and growth, nutritional physiology, ecology, protection of animals, environmental protection, economics of breeding also appear in its pages as long as these contributions have some bearing on the overall topic of animal breeding. Publishes are original scientific contributions as well as short communications or reviews in English or German language. All manuscripts will be reviewed by at least the Editor in Chief and two qualified referees of the Editorial Board.
