We are looking for an experienced specialist in the mentioned above areas in order to include him/her to our research staff with the goal to improve knowledge and research ability of the staff. The employment will be financed from FP7 REGPOT project "Warsaw Plant Health Initiative"
Description:
- We are looking for an experienced specialist in the mentioned above areas in order to include him/her to our research staff with the goal to improve knowledge and research ability of the staff. The employment will be financed from FP7 REGPOT project "Warsaw Plant Health Initiative" DUTIES: The experienced researcher will be hired to be involved in the following tasks:
- Conducting research and training young researchers in the area of microbiology, molecular biology, plant /microbial interactions especially with endobacteria and mycorrhiza fungi
- Contributing in on going in the Laboratory research projects and in preparatory work for applications of new international grant proposal(s)
- Establishing and maintaining international collaboration within ERA and beyond in above mentioned research areas
- Stimulating and participating in QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ENVISAGED POSITION
The candidate should posses the following skills and qualifications:
- PhD and experience in biological/agricultural sciences, preferably molecular biology, environmental biotechnology and microbiology
- Documented accomplishments and solid expertise in microbiology (especially micorrhiza) and experience in molecular techniques, molecular taxonomy, bioremediation and in bioinformatics tools
- Experience based on exposure to international of good professional recognition groups/teams
- Fluent communication in English
- Several years of employment after Ph.D. defense well seen
- Records of in fund-raising authorship of grants awarded in international competition - would constitute a considerable advantage
- Ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary team and good communication skills - desired
- Candidates of Polish origin, returning from research training/positions abroad, with the above qualifications, may be given some preference discussions and writing of scientific articles.
