The need for an international barley genetics newsletter was discussed at the First International Barley Genetics Symposium in 1963 and a resolution establishing Barley Genetics Newsletter was adopted by the Second International Barley Genetics Symposium in 1969. The Barley Genetic Newsletter covers different aspects of barley breeding and research: 1. Genetic variation, genetic resources, wide hybridizations; 2. Biochemistry and biotechnology; 3.
