The conference schedule includes a lot of lectures and seminars led by world-class experts. Those lectures are mainly focused around "hot topics" of contemporary innovative biobusiness: bio-tech biosimilars, business models for personalized medicine, clinical trials and success factors in biotechnology - just to name a few. BioForum will showcase the current biotechnology potential in Central Europe (find more on the official website at www.cebioforum.pl). Keynote speakers are: Magda Chlebus, Director Science Policy at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations; Jens Dhein, Scientific Director of Abbott Molecular; Steffen Wagner, Head Commercial Operations Central&Eastern Europe at Sandoz; Dr. Erik Lund, Director, Worldwide Licensing, Merck MSD; Emerson Smith, President, Metromark Healthcare Research Center in Columbi.
The 11th Central European Forum of Biotechnology and Innovative BioEconomy BioForum 2012 is a great way to discover an impressive potential of biotechnology in Central Europe. Today the strongest centers of innovative biobusiness are located in United States and Asia. Biotechnology industry also becomes more and more important sector of economy in South America, particularly in such countries like Brazil, Argentina and Chile. BioForum is becoming the center of innovative biobusiness that integrates all the activities of biotechnology companies and the science-research teams of Central Europe. The partnership within Central Europe dynamically speeds up the development of innovative biobusiness in particular countries of this region, as well as it makes the region more attractive for the global biotechnology leaders. This approach proves itself very clearly, because all previous editions of the conference were really successful, making BioForum one of the most prestigious bio-tech events around the world. That is why BioForum constantly attracts the investors and the companies with the most promising growth potential. It also gathers the part of the science society that is innovative and creative, yet wide open for any kind of partnership. BioForum also gives a warm welcome to those students, who tie their future with the biotechnology and innovative biobusiness.
BioForum attracts the representatives of the strongest centers of global biobusiness. "I am strictly convinced, that the biggest and the most influential bio-tech companies are constantly seeking for new technologies and fresh innovative ideas. It also means that they are still looking for partners in biobusiness and outsourcing. BioForum is the perfect meeting event for such a companies" - emphasizes Tadeusz Pietrucha, Founder and CEO of Bio-Tech Consulting Ltd, the leading conference organizer.
One of the most meaningful initiatives run by BioForum is so called "BioPartnering" which involves the series of precisely scheduled business meetings strictly among the potential partners: investors, company managers and scientists. Today BioPartnering is valued as the best platform for building partnership between science and business and also as the great way to gain promising business contacts. The conference attendees will have a chance to find out about it's outstanding efficiency.
The BioForum 2012 organizers have also an interesting proposal for all those students who want to connect their professional future with the biotechnology industry. The "Career Day" led by HAYS Czech Republic (which is the part of one of the biggest global recruitment agencies) is also a great place to be for young scientists who are going to start their own companies. During the event HAYS will advice them about their career path, present them with the job opportunities and also invite them for a close meetings with the biobusiness representatives.
The prestigious prize "Master of Innovation" will be awarded for the third time at BioForum 2012. The main goal of the prize is to highlight those companies that are in possession of the most interesting business strategies and are effectively implementing them. The valuation of all nominees will be conducted by the professional jury. "This prize proves that our activities are among the most innovative in Europe" - said dr Monika Lamparska-Przybysz of Celon Pharma Ltd back in the year 2010, when her company was awarded during the first "Master of Innovation" edition.
