Description: | This Web Gateway is an informal resource provided by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Protein and Peptide Science Special Interest Group (RSC PPSG). The RSC PPSG is part of the RSC Chemical Biology Forum. Originally founded in 1973 as the Chemical Society Protein Subject Group, it became the Royal Society of Chemistry Protein Subject Group in 1980. The Group has a strong historic basis in both peptide and protein science. The Group was, until recently, a joint group of the Biochemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry. The interests of the Group have enlarged in recent years to cover peptide and protein structure determination, protein structure prediction, molecular modelling and dynamics, protein separation and characterisation, protein biosynthesis, protein expression, modification and targeting, combinatorial synthesis, protein design and engineering, drug-protein and protein-protein interactions and protein structure-function. The Group is committed to paving the way forward into functional genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics. |
