Laboratory (NCL) to improve the discovery and development of dendrimer technologies. This collaboration may give a new licencing opportunity for DNT's dendrimers, as macromolecular dendrimer-based medical resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents for non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics.
Dendrimers are nanoparticles that are precisely engineered to carry molecules encapsulated in the interior or attached to the surface.There purpose is to deliver precise quantities of a drug or contrast agent to a specific location of the human body. It can also be used as a targeted diagnostic and therapeutic delivery system for a wide variety of drugs to cancer cells or in other diseases.
It means improved efficacy, enhanced solubility, and lower toxicity for many existing drugs.
