FDA approves new Parkinson's treatment

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced approval of Neupro -- a skin patch designed to treat symptoms of early Parkinson's disease. Neupro, the first transdermal patch approved for treatment of Parkinson's disease symptoms, involves the drug rotigotine, which was not previously approved for use in the United States. Parkinson's disease, which belongs to a group of conditions called motor system disorders, results from the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells...
