Group leader within the CyanoTeam project - New research group for modeling cyanobacterial cell processes

Description:

pplications are invited for a foreign research scientist to lead a modeling research group in cyanobacterial systems biology. The objective of the newly formed team is to collaborate closely with an experimental team as well as a group of computer scientists to develop an integrated model of a cyanobacterium. The project is designed to enable computational and experimental biologists to use systems biology approaches and state of the art equipment, including high-end laboratory photobioreactors, advanced analytical techniques, imaging flow cytometer, and fluorescence activated cell sorter, to create a computational model of a cyanobacterial cell. Attracting new students, leading courses and ensuring the publication activity of the team also come under the duties of a Group Leader. The project is entering its second year and the team is partially established. The candidate should smoothly continue with the work of the previous Group Leader.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a PhD, post-doctoral experience, a strong publication record in computational modeling of biological systems, and the ability to lead and interact effectively with a team of researchers. The project language is English.
