Intellectual Property Team Leader (Biotechnology), Warsaw, Poland

Type of job: full-time

On behalf of my Client who are part of a large and continuously growing Pharmaceutical group, I am looking for an IP Lead to join their Biotech division in Poland. This role reports to Head of European IP.

Responsibilities:

- Preparation of biotech patent strategies based on results of patent search
- Patent evaluation of proposed technological solutions with respect to infringements or innovativeness and patentability
- Litigation support
- Ongoing monitoring of competitors' progress with respect to patents affecting projects
- Support of the Sales and Marketing Department
- Preparation of proprietary patent applications and patent prosecution

Requirements:

- Min. BSc in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalent
- Knowledge of European patent system
- Strong experience in patent departments in biotech (preferred) or pharmaceutical environment
- Solid state chemistry and/or biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical technology background
- Qualification as European Patent Attorney (or having approved some papers of the EQE)
- Legal background/ experience on patent litigation would be an advantage
