Bangalore, India (March 07-08, 2008)
ICBio, a non profit organization under the Mahatma Gandhi Educational Trust, is training the students in the areas related to Clinical Research and Bioinformatics/Biotechnology.
The Drug Controller of India in 2003 introduced GOOD CLINICAL RESEARCH PRACTICES wherein it is mandatory that all the clinical trials conducted in India follow these practices in design, approval collection of subject data. Complete compliance of GCP guidelines in India are required for conduct of clinical trials.
India has one of the largest patient populations for most of the diseases with genetic diversity. Availability of highly qualified medical practitioners is attracting conduct of global clinical trials in Indian hospitals and clinical sites since India has implemented GCP as per ICH global standards. It is now possible that the data from conduct of trials in India as per GCP guidelines maybe submitted for approval of the drug in USA, Europe, Japan, etc along with submission to authorities in India.
The clinical trial industry is doubling in revenue every 2 years and as per Mckinsey estimate India has the potential to become one billion dollar revenue industry. High demand for clinical research employees has positioned these jobs among the fastest growing occupations, projected to grow at 3.3 percent per year, which is two and one-half times the total employment growth rate. This high growth has created the mandatory need for more clinical research professionals in GCP for conduct Management of the trials.
In view of this projected growth potential, ICBio is hosting a Two-Day National Conference on ?Biotechnology & Clinical Research in India?, during 7-8 March. 2008. Eminent personalities, Technical colleges, Medical institutes and Popular business houses, are expected to congregate and deliberate about the advances in the areas related to Clinical Research, Biopharmaceuticals Biomedical engineering, Nanomedicine, Healthcare informatics, etc. The target audience at the conference would be about 600 students, faculty, researchers, corporate people and invited delegates etc, who would be aspiring to make themselves better aware of the immense potentials of the emerging domains.
The event highlight for this event will be:-

there will be also exhibition where different organization will participate:-
and many more.
