Navamedic expands market reach for Sippi

Navamedic ASA (OSE: NAVA), the Norwegian medtech and pharmaceutical products company, has secured distribution of its new Sippi urine measurement system in the Benelux markets. Navamedic has signed an agreement with Ecomed Services bvba of Belgium, a distributor of infection control and intensive care products.

Navamedic launched the new digital urine measurement system Sippi earlier this year in the Nordic and German markets, which in total represent 25,000 beds in intensive care units (ICUs). The distribution agreement with Ecomed adds another 5,000 ICU and critical care beds to Sippi's market reach.

"Benelux is an important European region, and I am confident that we in Ecomed have found the ideal distribution partner for these markets," said Navamedic CEO Tom Rönnlund.

The Sippi product family is a potential game changer in a NOK 2 billion market. The new digital urine measurement system aims at replacing analogue and manual systems, improving patient safety and accuracy while also saving time for the hospital staff.
