New super enzyme from Novozymes

Novozymes A/S, the biotech-based world leader in enzymes and microorganisms, is launching a super enzyme called Liquanase on the European and Asian markets.
Blood gets on the clothes and if not removed immediately, the clothes will be ruined as blood stains are almost impossible to get out. Liquanase deals with this task and is therefore revolutionary within removal of dried-in blood stains. Moreover, the enzyme removes other difficult stains.
Liquanase functions at a temperature of only 30°C and consequently saves both time and energy. Therefore, it is valuable for the consumer as well as the environment.
The potential environmental advantage is considerable. According to Novozymes’ press release Europe could dispense with two large power stations if all Europeans used enzyme-based washing solutions and reduced washing temperatures from 40°C to 30°C.
