Nuclear Receptor

Publishing: BioMed Central

Nuclear Receptor is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal publishing articles on all aspects of the molecular features of nuclear receptor biology, from steroid endocrinology to nematode ageing, from toxicology to the genetics of obesity. This journal provides a unique opportunity for such diverse studies, united by the nuclear receptor theme, to be brought together in a single publication. Manuscripts that deal with the descriptive effects of steroids or such-like substances without any molecular content will not be considered. Nuclear Receptor is aimed at a multidisciplinary, basic and clinical research community, and endeavours to integrate knowledge regarding nuclear receptors and their associated signaling molecules from a wide range of sources. We anticipate that lessons learned for one receptor in one organism may provide important insights into the function of other receptors in unrelated organisms. We also believe that the nuclear receptor super-family provides a diversity of function that will provide profound insights into the fundamental basis of the differences between species. The understanding of the role of nuclear receptors in health and disease will provide key strategies in the development of novel therapeutics, and manuscripts addressing these issues are particularly welcome.
