Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC) publishes articles that are of scientific and/or practical importance. The editors welcome scientists to submit manuscripts to PCTOC. Four types of articles are published: 1. research articles, 2. research notes (brief articles), 3. reviews, and 4. book reviews. PCTOC covers all areas of research in which plant tissue culture is a major aspect: biotechnological breeding including genetic modification, somatic hybridisation and embryo rescue; propagation in vitro, including micropropagation, somatic embryogenesis and freeing plants from diseases; the use of tissue culture in physiological or molecular researches; production of secondary metabolites; storage of valuable genetic material including slow growth in vitro and cryopreservation.
