We are seeking two highly motivated scientists to join the Laboratory of Structural Virology within CEITEC. You will be part of a program investigating structures of human viruses in different points of their life cycle. You will use X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy/tomography and molecular biology to determine three-dimensional structures of viruses in complex with cellular receptors and antibodies. The aim of the research will be to use structural information to develop anti-viral drugs.
The candidates should hold a PhD degree in biochemistry, structural or molecular biology. Previous experience with protein X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy, cloning, protein production, mammalian tissue culture, virus production and purification is a plus.
The positions are not associated with any teaching obligations.
