Type of job: full-time
The director of Central European Institute of Technology CEITEC MU is announcing a selection procedure for the position: POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE FOR THE RESEARCH GROUP OF „PLASMA TECHNOLOGIES"
More information about the research group can be found HERE.
Research topic: Application of reactive plasmas for synthesis of nanomaterials
We offer a premium program and a high-quality background of a prospective and dynamically developing research organisation CEITEC with the possibilities of applying your own solutions.
Research of the group "Plasma Technologies" is carried out in following directions:
i/ Plasmachemical deposition of thin films (carbon and organosilicon films and their composites) under low or atmospheric pressure - research and development of new processes, optimization of their functional properties (mechanical and optical properties, surface free energy)
ii/ Synthesis of nanostructured materials (carbon nanotubes, iron oxide nanoparticles etc.) - synthesis of novel materials, plasma modelling
iii/ Functionalization and modification of solid surfaces - functionalization of carbon nanotubes for preparation of polymer composites, modification of polymer nanofibers by hydrophobic thin films, functionalization of surfaces for immobilization of biomolecule
Requirements:
Expected starting date: from September 1st, 2012
Appointment is for one year and may be renewed up to three years based on performance.
