Type of job: full-time
Laboratory of Recombination and DNA Repair
The main aim of this position is to study molecular mechanism of DNA repair and its correlation with genomic instability associated diseases.
Contents of the work:
The researcher will carry research on instability of the genome and cancer. In addition to numerous projects focusing on basic understanding of DSB repair process and its regulation the candidate can also specialize on characterization of small-molecule inhibitors and exploration of synthetic lethal interactions that influence the genome stability.
The laboratory has state of the art equipment for biochemistry, cell-biology and single-molecule analysis and is also directly linked to the hospital.
Candidates with significant experience in biochemistry, cell biology, mol. biology or single molecule techniques (AFM, SPR, or TIRF etc.) are preferred.
Please send a cover letter, a concise summary of previous research activities and the curriculum vitae including publication list to: lkrejci@chemi.muni.cz
Applications will be considered in two stages. The first stage will focus on the excellence of candidates. Those shortlisted will be invited to send two letters of recommendation and subsequently will be interviewed.
