Type of job: full-time
A postdoc/ research assistant position is available in Karel Riha lab (CEITEC, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic) to participate in research focused on identification and characterization of novel genes required for meiotic cell division. This work is part of a broader effort to decipher molecular basis of plant reproduction. Research will be conducted in the newly built research centre located in the life science campus of Masaryk University (Brno, Bohunice, http://www.ceitec.eu/ceitec-masaryk-university/in1).
Desired expertise and skills
The applicant should hold Life Sciences-related PhD degree and experience in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or related disciplines. Applicants with MSc degree will also be considered provided they have an excellent track record and experience in above-mentioned disciplines.
Starting date: negotiable
Duration of contract: 12 months with possible extension
