Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Laboratory of Structural Biology, Institute of Biotechnology, Prague, Czech Republic.
Currently the group focuses on structure-function studies and structure-guided drug design aimed at deciphering the role of glutamate carboxypeptidase II in (patho)physiology. Additionally, projects concentrating on structure-function studies of histone deacetylases are newly introduced into the lab. The major lab techniques include cloning, heterologous protein expression and purification and biochemical, biophysical and structural characterization of target proteins.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD in Life science (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent), with the PhD completed between March, 2008 and October, 2012. Training in molecular biology, cell biology, yeast genetics and/or X-ray crystallography would be appreciated, but it is not essential.
