| Description: | The NSF Potato Genome Project goal is to conduct fundamental research and to provide the scientific community with a comprehensive set of structural and functional genomic resources to further the understanding of important features of potato biology, including responses to biotic and abiotic stress, disease resistance, tuber development, heterozygosity, and polyploidy. To foster public awareness and science education and increase participation of under-represented and ethnically diverse students in plant genomics research, high school and college students will participate in genomics training and public education programs. |
