Professional researcher (senior scientist)

Growth, characterisation and selection of suspension culture cells as a potential source of valuable compounds and of regulatory signals for biotechnological applications.

Job description:

Main duties and deliverables of the applicant will be research on suspension cell cultures grown in lab-scale photobioreactors, their characterisation and utilization for production of valuable compounds and mediators of regulatory signals, targeted for future use in large scale production. The applicant is expected to supervise topic related basic and applied research, i.e. supervise posdocs, educate PhD students and write grant proposals.

Requirements for quialification:

1. Min. 5 years of experimence as senior researcher
2. Min. 5 years experience as university graduate level education teacher/supervisor
3. Track record of publications in high impact journals and patent applications
4. Experience with preparation and implementation of international projects
5. Active connection to international scientific organizations and universities
6. Track record of attracting substantial funding from public and industrial sources
7. Experience with applied projects and collaboration with industrial partners
8. Experience of work with heterotrophic and autotrophic plant suspension cultures
