The cardiovascular screen is an integral part of the comprehensive phenotyping platform of the Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) and will deal with mouse and rat models. We are seeking outstanding experts and specialists whose main task will be to establish primary and secondary phenotyping screens and build a service team for researchers that use mice and rats as models.
Cardiovascular Screen (Project Leader) will be responsible for analysis and description of cardiac function in rodents. Your duties will include:
This position provides infrastructure and resources for pursuing your own research interests in cardiovascular function.
The position is available immediately for fixed-term until December 2015. After this period, successful researcher will have the opportunity to get further appointment in CCP within BIOCEV project.
For the position we expect applicants to have MSc, MD or DVM and PhD (or equivalent) with relevant research experience and publications. Good command of English is required, other languages are an asset.

The Institute of Molecular Genetics is a leading Czech research institute in the field of genetics that sets up the CCP as part of the BIOCEV project (www.biocev.eu), in which biomedical research institutes of the Czech Academy of Science and two faculties of Charles University are involved. This new scientific centre is going to be built in the municipality of Vestec in the close vicinity to Prague and should employ up to 600 persons in next few years.
