We are offering a position for a staff scientist within the Animal Center (AC) core facility, directed by Dr. Viola Galligioni, at the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne´s University Hospital in Brno (FNUSA – ICRC). We are seeking a motivated post-doc who will join the Laboratory of Epigenetics, Metabolism and Aging (EMA), within the Center for Translational Medicine (CTM).

Setting up pipeline for cognitive and motor function analysis on rodents and management of equipment

Job Description:
We invite applications for a staff scientist from applicants with an enthusiastic interest in Lab Animal Science and cognitive and motor function analysis in rodents. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Galligioni to set up and run the rodent behaviour facility wihin the Interreg RI AT – CZ project ‘Creating synergies between research infrastructures to stimulate innovation in the cross-border region‘. The successful candidate will join the collaboration with pc-PHENO facility at VBCF Vienna (Austria), where further training on rodent behavioural studies will be provided. Daily work will include management of in vivo rodent studies (from AC and other users), discussion with researchers regarding experimental design, preparation of SOPs for internal and external users. The successful candidate will be involved also in other AC activities, including services on large animals (pigs).
