Description: | A new way to lern about healthy food for you and family., Specific Objectives of Bioplatform:, 1. To help EPBRS to improve the effectiveness and relevance of European biodiversity research and monitoring by networking scientists and policy makers from the 32 countries that contribute to the EU 5th Framework RTD programme., 2. To organise four EPBRS meetings connected with the presidencies of Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Greece and a fifth meeting in the U.K, or in the State having the presidency after Greece., 3. To organise preparatory discussions on selected themes in advance to the EPBRS meetings in the form of Electronic Conferences, thus involving the participation of a wider range of stakeholders than would be otherwise possible., 4. To build and maintain a web-site where information and all the documents produced by the EPBRS will be easily accessible to policy-makers and other stakeholders., 5. To organise the deliverables produced by the EPBRS (e.g. databases, lists, recommendations) and make this available to scientists and stakeholders including NGO´s and the general public in the platform’s web-site., 6. To perform a “gap analysis” of the Biodiversity research currently funded by the EU and member states, to identify areas where more effort should be employed., 7. To promote National Platforms for Biodiversity in each country and link them with the European Platform and other European and International Biodiversity Organisations to promote a European Biodiversity Research Area |
