The Faculty of Engineering (formerly Faculty of Mechanisation) was founded as a part of the newly established University of Agriculture in 1952. Since January 1, 1995, it has been a part of the newly re-named Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) in Prague. In the course of its existence the Faculty of Engineering has educated more than 7000 graduates in both on-campuses (daily) and combined (distance) courses. The Faculty staffs have been involved in the field of education, science and research, expertise and consultancy activities. The Faculty has ten departments, laboratories for calculation applications, and central development workshops.
The two-tier study programmes of the three-year Bachelor Degree studies programme and the two-year follow-up Master Degree programme are provided by the Faculty in the following accredited courses:

- Road Transport and City Traffic (SMAD)
- Waste Disposal Technology and Techniques (TTZO)
- Technological Equipment of Constructions (TSZ)
- Trade and Business Dealing with Machinery (OPT)
- Information and Control Technology in Agri-Food Complex (IRT)
- Technology and Environmental Engineering (TEE)
- Machinery for Landscape Reclamation and Maintenance (TOUK)
