Department of Botany and Plant Physiology

The Department of Botany and Physiology of Plants is one of the oldest departments at the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague. We lecture courses on botany and plant physiology for both full-time and distance study programmes. Together we offer eleven courses for full-time students and 6 for distance students, in both bachelor and postgraduate study programmes. We provide lectures and seminars for students of the Faculty of Agronomy (AF), the Faculty of Economics and Management and Institute of Tropics and Subtropics (ITS). Research Anatomy and morphology of plants, ecology and taxonomy of lower and higher Plants. Flora-phytocenology studies. Water regime of plants. Photosynthesis physiology. Plant stress physiology. Ecophysiology of the plant production process.
