Department of Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietetics
Department is responsible for education in broad subject spectrum including microbiology (agricultural, food, environment, etc.), biotechnology, pedobiology, nutrition and animal feeding, human nutrition, dietetics, feeding technology especially at the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources and also at the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Faculty of Economics and Management and Institute of Tropic and Subtropics. The list of taught subjects includes 38 items.
Research is focused on three areas:
• Soil microbiology
• Microbiology of gastrointestinal tract with respect to bifidobacteria
• Feed evaluation and animal nutrition.
