All branches of chemistry (inorganic, analytical, organic and physical chemistry, biochemistry) are presented in undergraduate courses of General agriculture, Plant production, Animal production, Waste management, Agroecology, Food technology, Forest and wood engineering and other branches.
Courses on Food analysis, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Chemistry, Wood Chemistry and other special courses are given at the pregraduate and postgraduate levels at Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Horticulture and Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology.
Research activities: Separation (ion, liquid and gas chromatography), electromigration (isotachophoresis, capillary zone electrophoresis) and electrochemical methods (stripping voltammetry) are used for identification and/or determination of pollutants, secondary metabolites and other natural compounds in biological and environmental samples (plants, tissues, body fluids, soils etc.).
